Please note that Ohio Designer Craftsmen is offering all accepted Columbus Winterfair artists and exhibitors a COVID-19 refund of 100% booth, corner and rest area fees should the show be cancelled due to the coronavirus. We are monitoring the coronavirus pandemic as it continues to evolve. As of now, we are continuing with plans for Columbus Winterfair.
Anyone may apply to ODC shows; however, only Ohio Designer Craftsmen members may actually exhibit. ODC members receive a two-point bonus on their jury scores. Annual membership is $35 for an individual, $45 for a joint membership, and may be paid after acceptance, along with the booth fee.

Time slot is strict: no entry before 11:00 am and building is vacated at 3:00 pm.
**If you are dollying in from the front on Wednesday, there is no parking on the street, so please use the paid lot across the street.**
Thursday, November 28:
SET-UP TIME: SEE BELOW FOR SCHEDULED TIMES BETWEEN 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. THE BUILDING MUST BE VACATED BY 5:00. You may dolly in from the FRONT of the building at any time (street parking permitted on Thursday). Vehicle must be moved after unloading.
SECTIONS 1F AND 1B: 10:00 am–1:30 pm
SECTIONS 2F AND 2B: 1:30 pm–5:00 pm
GOURMET MARKETPLACE may set up any time between 10 am and 5 pm.
**Arriving outside your designated time will put you last in line.**
SECTIONS 1F AND 2F: DOLLY IN FROM THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. If you are in these sections and feel you need the loading dock, be aware that you will have to navigate through the hall with booths setting up.
SECTIONS 1B AND 2B: USE THE LOADING DOCK. Line up your vehicle near the loading dock on Rivercenter Blvd. You’ll be given further instructions and a time to pull into the dock to unload. You may not set up your booth until your vehicle is unloaded and moved from the loading dock.
Wednesday or Thursday set-up is advised for all exhibitors. Exhibitors may arrive on Friday morning but must make arrangements in advance to do so. If you must set up on Friday morning, please notify our office at 614-486-7119. Set-up resumes at 7:30 am on Friday and must be complete by 9:30 am. Those arriving after 8:30 am on Friday will not be permitted to set up until Saturday.
Doors open for exhibitors with badges at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. Please be in your booth at least 15 minutes before opening in case we have any last minute announcements. The facility will be locked for the night at 7:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.
Awards: Awards Include: Excellence, Best Booth Design, and Jurors Choice Awards. An independent juror will make all awards. Award winners receive an invitation to next year’s show, by-passing jury review.
Change: Will be made available at the Ticket Sales Booth during the last half hour of the show Friday and Saturday nights. We will not be giving out change Sunday morning.
Sales Tax: State of Kentucky License forms will be in your check-in packet. They are mailing them to you as well. We are required to forward them a list of all exhibitors in the show. Please complete and mail to the Kentucky Dept. of Revenue. Tax rate is 6.0%.
Fire Regulations: The Fire Marshal may inspect all booths to ensure that all display equipment is fire retardant, with special attention to cloth coverings.
Booth Sign: Please make certain your booth sign is clearly visible in your booth so patrons can locate you. Booth numbers are listed in the Show Directory.
Booth Set up: BE SURE TO USE ONLY HEAVY DUTY ELECTRICAL CORDS AND GROUNDED POWER STRIPS. Due to fire regulations, please keep all displays within your 10’ deep booth space – THIS INCLUDES EXHIBITORS’ CHAIRS.
Tape: Per site regulations, you MUST use Gaffers Tape if tape is needed. See EXPO Decorator service if you should need gaffers tape for carpets.
Booth Sitting: Sign up at the Information Booth for breaks of up to 15 minutes. We will do everything we can to honor your request. If you have extra helpers who wouldn’t mind booth sitting for other artists, please ask them to stop by the Information Desk and let us know.
Smoking and Alcoholic Beverages: Alcoholic beverages of any kind are prohibited in your booth. Smoking is not allowed in the building.
Artist Surveys: Rather than annoy you with the piece of paper that you have to fill out and return while you’re busy packing up, we will email surveys for you to complete after the show. We always appreciate your feedback!
Food: The Concession/Restaurant operation is again on the second floor to the left in the same room as the Gourmet Marketplace. As an artist with badge you can go to the LEFT SIDE to order food and avoid any long lines – more convenient and much quicker!
ODC Annual Auction: Enclosed is information on our annual auction fundraiser, which helps us continue our programming for children and families and Ohio Craft Museum exhibitions. Although it seems far into the future, it will be here before we know it and we always appreciate donations from our Winterfair artists. Artwork in our silent auction includes information from each artist so it’s a great way to reach even more patrons with your work.
Building closes at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night. Please let us know if you cannot be packed up and moved out by that time.

From I-275, take 471 North to the Newport/Bellevue Exit #5. Turn left off the exit onto Route 8. Go straight. Road will curve at Newport on the Levee, head toward stop light in left lane. Go through stop light to the next stop sign and turn right onto 4th Street. Follow this across the bridge to Madison Street in Covington. Turn right on Madison and follow toward RiverCenter Blvd. (Embassy Suites is in front of you to the right.) The convention center is on your left.
Take I-75 North to the 5th Street/Covington Exit 192. (If you have crossed the bridge to Cincinnati, you’ve gone too far.) Veer right off the exit. Follow 5th Street to Madison (6th stoplight), turn left on Madison. Follow Madison to RiverCenter Blvd. (Embassy Suites is in front of you to the right.) The convention center is on your left.
Parking: Parking is free with a paid stay at the Marriott River Center, one of the official hotels of the Greater Cincinnati Winterfair. The Marriott has a large garage and can accommodate small box trucks. Surface lots are available in the immediate area for a fee. Trucks with trailers, RVs and large trucks may use the surface lot on the corner of Madison and River Center Blvd. To reserve a space through ABM Parking Services (This is the surface lot across the street from the NKY Convention Center), email Jack.MontsDeOca@abm.com or call 513-929-9200.
