43rd Annual Fine Art and Fine Craft Fair|December 6–8, 2019
(Columbus, OH)—Experience artful shopping at the 43rd annual Winterfair, the juried fair of fine art and fine craft by 400 artists from across the United States. Held December 6–8 at the Ohio Exposition Center on the Ohio State Fairgrounds, the fair offers functional pottery, blown glass, wearable art, fine jewelry, sculpture, painting, photography and more.
“Winterfair is a fun holiday shopping experience, where visitors have a chance to talk with the artists who create those perfect gifts,” commented Betty Talbott, executive director of Ohio Designer Craftsmen, the organizers of the fair. Among the exhibitors are a number of returning favorites, along with many new artists.
First-time participants include Ohio artist Ariana Heinzman, who handbuilds brightly patterned, functional ceramics; Scott Jones of Indiana, who combines original screenprints with vintage textiles to design purses, wallets and bags; and Marisa Ray, Tennessee, who creates acrylic paintings that depict the personalities of animals and birds. Columbus graphic artist Evangelia Philippidis returns with beautiful new designs, as do Michigan ceramists Sarah and Thomas Gelsanliter.
A special section of booths will feature artists from Kentucky Crafted, and the Marketplace will offer specialty items, including specialty cookies, cupcakes and dessert rolls by Angel Delites; custom dog treats by Nom Nom Nom; and plant-based soaps, bath balms, solid lotions and lip balms by Paddycakes Natural Skincare.
